Natural reserves of the Low and Tall Merse river
Situated to around half road between Grosseto and Siena is valleys you create from the Merse river and from his tributary the Farma stream.

For instance it is possible go up again the Farma stream departing from the thermal baths of the Petriolo or reach it descending from Roccastrada or go up again the Gonna stream toward the ancient dike of Siena.
Though being the runs not difficult, we recommend warmly, also for understand the varied botanical beauties, of use the local guides that they could organize the exploration on more days.
To Monticiano, ancient suburb in the by of the road n°223, you could visit the "Permanent show on the bio-difference of the area of the Farma Merse".
You don't fail to visit to Abbey of St. Galgano (html file) and to Mulino Bianco (White Mill) in the environs of Chiusdino.
